The kit itself is good looking especially the head unit. Overall design, this kit resemble Gundam Double Zeta from the U.C era but with in Ebikawa language. It seems like the influence that Ebikawa brings from 00 series overflow in this series. Well since the designer decide how the Gundam would look, we just can't say anything. Even in U.C era, most of the mechas is full of Okawara's language of robot.
Bulky body, massive SigMaxxis Rifle.... Is that a rifle in a first place? As said in the manual and the anime, the miniaturized version of Photon Blaster of Diva Battleship. The rifle itself don't make the hand to be saggy, light enough for the kit to hold on.
The beam saber can put in two configuration. One is the beam saber just come out just like that and second using the normal beam saber.
The beam saber is hold in that place.
This is the part use when the transformation to become separate entities which is Core Fighter and G-Cepter.
With the usage of two separate entities to form a mobile suit, the Gundam doesn't need the carrier like the previous Gundam to bring the wear part.
Pros
- Good looking MS
- Nice articulation compared to the bulky state
- Doesn't need painting unlike previous HG
Cons
- The polycaps will loosen over the years
- The joint in waist not too tight. Quite loose
Verdicts
Like it or hate it. Most of the fans hate it because the story were targeted for younger audience bla bla bla, but when you think of that, didn't you guys start out as a child not an adult. Therefore, is it wrong to garner more audience by making younger people to like Gundam and making them built GUNPLA. This kit is awesome and need little painting (if you don't like the usage of sticker) The articulation is good even this kit is bulky. Just I don't understand why Sunrise need two anime just to pay homage to previous Gundam series (Gundam SEED pays homage to U.C era then why Gundam AGE do the same thing?)
