Review - 1/144 SRW OG Huckebein Mk.II

Yes!

This time I'm gonna do review of this long halted kit that waiting to be reviewed by me which is

Huckebein Mk.II

I solely buy this kit because of the Gundam look in it nothing more nothing less.

We shall proceed to review.

For a 1/144 scale, I can say that it have a lot of runners almost as much as MC Model Hi-Nu Gundoom did.






UPPER PART

 

I like the way that head unit look like. GUNDAM!

Nevertheless, the v-fin is so thin and sharp so you need to be careful not to break it of poke into your eyes.

I also like the multi color application for the body though and the connection on the back is quite sturdy too.

But for the articulation, the picture tell it all. It doesn't match for what Bandai can give to us. The arm can only bend in about 90° and it is damn disappointing when compared to the price which is the same as RG line.

Well I've painted the goatee with red to give more gundam look for this kit


BOTTOM PART

The same thing also happen to the legs.. It only bend 90°. Jeez why this is happening?

For the waist unit, I can say that it look great but the connector is quite small I'm afraid it gonna break if move around too hard

COMPLETED MODEL

Be careful with the backpack thruster edges, it is sharp! Seriously it can cut to your skin!

Since this kit have limited articulations, I also too lazy to do many poses especially aerial poses.. =_=


VERDICT


PRO
- The parts is quite sturdy in some areas though
- This kit look like a Gundam @_@
- This kit totally look like a Gundam
- I am GUNDAM!

CON

- The plastic quality look cheap and the color look dull
- Limited articulation
- Its a Kotobukiya
- Some parts especially the V-fin is too thin and sharp
- The backpack thruster have sharp and thin edges so be careful
- Damn, it is not a Gundam

CONCLUSION

In the end, this is not a BANDAI for God sake and it is not a GUNDAM.

The kit looks great but the plastic quality is disappointing which I need to use flat top coat to make it look great.

But if you are a fan of Super Robot Wars, you must have this kit in your collection. (Like I said earlier, I buy this kit because it look like Gundam)

But I bet you gonna find this kit is hard to find and if you find it well congratz to you! ^^
