Review - MG 1/100 Aile Strike Gundam ver. RM

Hye, welcome back again to another review in Gunpla Re-BOOT!

This time, I'm gonna review this awesome gunpla kit, MG Aile Strike Gundam ver.RM

The RM stands for ReMastered if I'm not mistaken, and this kit took 8 months WISP since I'm too lazy to build this kit.

Well what done is done, and here you are reading this *@#&(*^ review and clicking away without commenting at all. Make me feel like wanna retired from blogging all of these.

Lets go for the review, shall we?

GAT-X105 Aile Strike Gundam

The design heavily taking the PG and RG looks but with significant differences (e.g the front skirt armor) and it look nothing like the 1st version of the MG. (looks lame)

Armament, Backpack and Freebies

Here, you will get:
  • x2 Beam Saber
  • x1 Shield
  • x1 Beam Rifle
  • x2 "Armor Schneider" combat knife

AQM/E-X01 Aile Striker

The Aile Striker pack look good, but seriously I hate the wings structure which are not sturdy at all.

You will get 5 pairs of hand manipulators (including close fist *not in picture)

The parts to make Perfect Strike Gundam (which I don't bother at all)

The stand a.k.a launch pad are recycled back from the 1st MG version.

Articulation

You will get the standard MG elbow and knee joint bent.

The kneeling position also looking good too.

Completed Model

Strike Gundam

You shall not forget that the base robot if the Strike Gundam

*sorry too lazy to do awesome poses

With the Armor Schnider

Aile Strike Gundam

The model itself can stand firmly enough which astound me since the backpack look heavy but the kit itself managed to stand without falling backward. Kudos to Bandai for making this kit's joints so sturdy

Captain Ramius! Why I'm still here?!!!!

Finally! I can fly and do my awesome pose!

I'm flying!!!! (not so young man)

Change to the standard stand since the OOB stand got some issues with the rear armor skirt always popped out together with the peg.

Pros
  • The kit is sturdy, updated design and looks
  • The joints are sturdy
  • The backpack are not too heavy
  • Nice stickers, almost look like decals
  • A lot less use of decals
Cons
  • Side skirts armor always falling apart
  • Rear skirts armor sometime popping out when trying to remove from the stand peg

Verdict

The kit look great, look more real, mecha like compared to the 1st MG iteration of Aile Strike Gundam, where it look more cartoonish. The kit can stand straight with the backpack on without tumbling down. However, the side skirt armor always popping out of place which can make me very annoyed. Nevertheless, aside of the minor problems, I want to recommend this kit for you to build. This kit is awesome!

p/s - stop buying bootlegs
